About Lanie's Place
Welcome! Hi my name is Lanie. I live in Bellingham with my husband David, our two school-aged sons, Kyle and Brian; our dog Sparky and FluffyCat. We live in the South Elementary School District on a quiet, tree-lined street.
I have an Associate's Degree from Wheelock College and 20 years experience in the care and education of young children. I am licensed through the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) to provide child care in my home. I am trained in CPR and First Aid and attend ongoing child-related trainings throughout the year.
I am offering a program which is safe, nurturing and enriched. I believe in developmentally appropriate practices and that children learn through play. We will provide high quality care for your child.

Developmentally Appropriate Practices
Because young children are learning all the time, I have set up my program to enhance their natural curiosity and desire to learn.
Your child will be treated respectfully as the developing person that they are. I believe that parents are a child's first and primary teacher, and I look forward to a partnership with you which fosters the growth and development of your child.
